Infoworld on: Mobiles offer more than voice in developing markets

I’d like to think I had some influence on the man making the quote below, but, like me, he’s probably part of a long chain of folks who have been talking about the potential of mobile devices in emerging markets for some time now.

I know that I was brought into this ‘club’ by Chris over a year ago (and I’ve spoken and written about it quite a bit). It’s been great to see as this meme got broader and deeper and now we see so many examples of how folks are not only leap-frogging over fixed telecoms, but also the desktop Internet.

Yeah.
