The one that blew my mind. I’ve been thinking of home plastic digestion by microbes and knew plastic would have to be ground up. But I never imagined such a cool device like this, not only does it grind, but also grows mushrooms on the plastic compost. And go see the detail pictures – pretty engravings and just beautiful shapes and gears.
Too bad it’s just a design concept, and not actually a working prototype.
Plastic digestion is difficult and slow – and will probably be messy and stinky as well. Philips makes it seem really simple and pretty, but then I’ve seen plenty of beautiful and entirely non-functional designs before…
